Ellie Patrikios: An Actress Who Brings Her Imagination To Life
Using her vivid imagination to bring all ideas to life, Ellie Patrikios is a bilingual British and Greek Actress. Growing up on the island of Kefalonia, Ellie would often collect fossils with her parent’s archeologist friends and fascinate about dinosaurs, and the tooth fairy. Amid these times, it would get super hot, so hot that people would have “Siesta” hours, which is a time of the day when everyone takes a nap. Contrary to belief, Ellie was one of those kids who’d still be revved up with energy. “I’d use this drive of mine, quietly preparing shows ready to present to my family and friends,” Ellie adds. Before the “Siesta” hours would commence, her mother and father would assist with a unique style of makeup and costume with limited resources to make her performances more realistic. Eventually, Ellie met her passion for acting in 2000 after meeting Penelope Cruz, John Hurt, and some of the crew from Louis de Bernières’ novel, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
Fast forward, and Ellie attended Hellenic College of London, where she took a huge interest in Music and Theatre. Then, in 2006 the school closed down, and she had to find a new one. At that time, Ellie was still playing the Piano, Singing, and taking on Clarinet. Once Ellie settled into a new facility, she joined the New London Children’s Choir and worked on productions like Blue Peter Prom, Royal Albert Hall with Connie Fisher, John Adams’ On the Transmigration of Souls — Barbican with London Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Britten War Requiem with RPO, and Royal Albert Hall, to name a few. In August 2011, she moved to Los Angeles at 19 years old to embark on the degree of her dreams. Although she missed her family very much and found it difficult with the time difference, Ellie knew deep down that she was blessed with an opportunity to learn and do what she loved most continuously. In turn, she made the most of every moment. As time passed, Ellie grew into herself, keeping all her morals close.
